Exterior Painting

Exterior Painting Built for Florida's Climate

Intense sun, humidity, and salt air are hard on exterior paint. We prep and paint accordingly, using materials suited to South Florida conditions.

Painting That Holds Up to South Florida Weather

A house here goes through a lot — year-round UV exposure, afternoon humidity, and salt air if you're anywhere near the coast. Paint that looks great for a few years in a milder climate can start fading, chalking, or peeling much sooner here. We prep every surface thoroughly and use exterior paints suited to this kind of exposure, so the finish actually holds up.

What to Consider Before You Repaint

  • Weather and humidity affect drying time and scheduling, so we work around South Florida's forecast rather than against it.
  • Small issues — hairline stucco cracks, soft wood, peeling caulk — are much cheaper to fix before painting than after.
  • Lighter colors reflect heat and tend to show less fading over time than darker colors. We're happy to talk through the tradeoffs.
  • Surface preparation matters as much as the paint itself — most exterior paint failures start with a surface that wasn't properly cleaned or repaired.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does exterior paint last in Florida's climate?

It depends on sun exposure, surface prep, and the paint used, but South Florida's UV, humidity, and salt air all shorten how long a finish holds up compared to milder climates. Proper prep and a coating suited to coastal exposure make the biggest difference.

Do you handle stucco and wood repair before painting?

Yes. We repair cracked stucco, soft or damaged wood, and failing caulk as part of the prep work, so the paint goes on a sound surface.

What's the best time of year to paint an exterior in South Florida?

Drier, lower-humidity stretches generally give paint the best chance to cure properly, but we can typically work around most weather with the right scheduling.

Do I need to be home during the project?

No — most exterior work doesn't require you to be present, though we're happy to walk the property with you before and after.

Will you protect my landscaping, driveway, and outdoor furniture?

Yes, we take care to cover and protect plants, hardscaping, and furniture near the work area.
